Murakumo loves Shiki. She loves her so much she wants to be with her for as long as she lives. However...she doesn't have the courage to. She's much too shy to even face her without her mask. Why is it so difficult to even say these three words to her? She's the exact opposite of the gyaru.
Murakumo knows she cannot live like this for the rest of her life. She has to step up and show the world she is not so cowardly anymore. That's what she keeps saying to herself over and over every single day, but unfortunately...she ends up holding herself back. Its frustrating, honestly, even for her. How can she tell the most important person in the world how she feels when she's like this constantly?
She has been asking advice from her fellow Senrans, even the ever so mischievous Haruka, but none of those were her best interest to want to confess to Shiki. Murakumo just isn't ready to dance around or be a singing telegram or have sex with Shiki as a love confession. Talking over the phone is out of the question. Murakumo wants to say it in person, even if it means saying it right in her face.
Days go by and Murakumo STILL cannot find the courage to say it. In the training room, where they are alone, Murakumo could've used this chance to confess her feelings, but as always, she was too shy to. Shiki seems so oblivious to her feelings as well. This cannot go on like this. Murakumo HAS to confess her feelings or else someone else will. And then...it happened...
It starts one afternoon, during sunset when everyone is done with training. Everyone has gone home except for Murakumo and Shiki. However, Shiki is already getting ready to leave while happily texting one of her friends. Murakumo looks at the blonde desperately, putting a fist on her large chest. She is without her mask today because she feels that it's that time again. Shiki is all smiles, texting and reading the received messages. Murakumo HAS to do it. She HAS to!
Shiki is starting to leave the door. Murakumo quickly gathers her things and hurries out the door as well. She needs to reach out to her...
"SHIKI!" Murakumo calls out, finally grabbing the blonde's attention.
"Yes, Muracchi?" Shiki's smile fades seeing Murakumo's expression hidden from her bangs. "What's the matter, Muracchi? Did something happen?"
"Th-the roof...l-let's talk on th-the roof..." Murakumo says quietly.
"O-okay, anything for you," Shiki is quite worried for the taller girl.
The two head toward the Gessen Academy Roof and Shiki is about an arm's length away from Murakumo when she turns toward the shy girl.
"So what's up Muracchi?" Shiki asks. "Why do you look so down?"
Murakumo is trembling. This is finally her chance. She has to say those three words. But she cannot. She has to, though. She needs to say it.
"Sh-Shiki...there's something I-I want t-to...to talk to you about..."
"Yes?" Shiki nods, urging her taller friend to keep going.
"Sh-Shiki...th-the thing is I..."
Say it...
"I wanted to...to tell you..."
Say it...!
"Shiki...it's been so long since we were together and I wanted to tell you that I...I...!"
Just say it!
Murakumo puts both fists on her chest and takes a step forward, raising her head and reveals heavy tears falling. "I LOVE YOU, SHIKI! I love you! I love you! I love you!"
Shiki cups a hand to her mouth as she gasps. "M-Muracchi...you..love me...?"
"I have loved you for as long as I can remember!" Murakumo cries. "But...I was...I was too afraid...! Too afraid that someone else might t-take you away...! I didn't want that...!" She sobs as she buries her face in her hands. "I'm so sorry, Shiki!"
The blonde tosses her school bag aside and plunges herself in Murakumo's arms, burying her face in the taller girl's chest.
"Sh-Shiki...?" Murakumo raises her head and she feels the blonde's shoulders shake. Is she...crying too?
"Idiot...!" Shiki says.
"Eh...?" Murakumo blinks twice.
Shiki raises her head to reveal her own tears falling. "You idiot! Do you, like, know...how long I have been waiting for you to say it...!? Do you know how long!?"
"Sh-Shiki..." Murakumo sobs.
"You finally said it..." Shiki sobs as well. "You finally said your love for me...! I am...so happy...!"
"Shiki...!" Murakumo cries as more tears fall.
"Muracchi...!" Shiki sobs as she wraps her arms around her new beloved's neck.
They lean in and share a passionate, heartwarming kiss. Tears continue to fall as they smooch. They hug each other tightly as they continue to kiss and then pull away to gaze into each other's teary eyes. They give weak smiles through their tears. Shiki raises her hand to caress her beloved's cheek.
"M-Murachhi...I love you...!" The blonde sobs. "I love you so much...!"
"I love you, too, Shiki!" Murakumo sobs as well. "Please...stay by my side...!"
"I will!" Shiki nods. "I so will!"
They lean in for another tender kiss.
Under the beautiful sunset, the two Senrans are finally together.
