"See that? Look at that! It's really pretty." Alexis says as she and Kiara are looking up at the stars.
"What? Oh yeah! Um- look... there's one that looks like a baby rabbit. See the fluffy tail?" Kiara asks as Alexis smiles.
"This is so beautiful. I've never done this before." Alexis says.
"Really? My father and I used to do this all the time. He says all the great Kings of the past are up there." Kiara says.
"You think my mom is up there?" Alexis asks.
"Your mom? I thought Zira..." Kiara says as Alexis gets up and walks a little ways away before sitting down.
"No. She was just someone who took me in. The outlanders were never really much of a family." Alexis says sadly.
"I'm sorry." Kiara says as she goes over to Alexis and puts her paw on hers.
"Don't be. I mean how can I expect you to understand. You don't know my past or what I've been through just to survive." Alexis says as she sighs.
"I'm sorry Alexis." Kiara says as she nuzzles Alexis before Alexis nuzzles her back.
"It's fine Kiara." Alexis says sadly before looking away.
"But you know maybe if you'd open up you might feel better." Kiara says.
"No I won't. It won't change anything." Alexis says.
"Maybe not but maybe confiding in someone might. I may not be much but I can be something if you'll let me." Kiara says.
"Kiara no. You won't like me anymore if you know." Alexis says as she begins to walk away.
"Let me decide that. Alexis please?" Kiara asks.
"I can't." Alexis says as she looks at Kiara.
"Please. I promise it'll be okay." Kiara says reassuringly before Alexis sighs in defeat and shifts to wolf form with a nervous look.
"Well?" Alexis asks nervously.
"You can turn into a wolf?" Kiara asks in surprise.
"Lioness actually. I was born a wolf. My lioness ability is why I'm an orphan. It costed me my family. I was branded strange and unnatural among my peers as a cub. But soon after that I got found by Zira." Alexis says as she sits down and lowers her head sadly.
"I'm so sorry." Kiara says as Alexis shifts back to lioness form.
"It is what it is. I can't change it." Alexis says as she sighs.
"Well if it makes you feel any better you look just as beautiful as a wolf." Kiara says as she smiles and nuzzles Alexis.
"Thanks. You look really beautiful too." Alexis says as she and Kiara blush happily.
"See? That wasn't so bad was it?" Kiara asks as Alexis chuckles.
"Yeah, yeah. Touche. Hey you wanna have some fun? I know some games you'd love that I learned growing up. One includes running with me." Alexis says as she smirks at Kiara playfully.
"You're on." Kiara says as she and Alexis run off happily playing.
*Timeskip*
"I had a lot of fun with you tonight Alexis." Alexis says as she and Kiara arrive back at Pride Rock.
"I had a lot of fun with you as well Kiara. It was amazing." Alexis says happily.
"It was." Kiara says happily.
"Goodnight Kiara." Alexis says as she smiles at Kiara earning a smile from her back.
"Goodnight Alexis." Kiara says as she and Alexis nuzzle each other before Kiara goes inside.
"Kovu." Alexis says as she goes over to Kovu who is laying by a rock.
"Alexis." Kovu says as Alexis lays down beside him.
"It's... kinda cold tonight huh? Come on." Simba says as he comes over before Alexis and Kovu look at each other before following Simba inside.
