"How dumb could you be? You made it so easy for me to expose stupid you really were! Truly, stupidity at its finest.
"Stupid" that all Azula said when she caught her brother in bed with his "best friend's " girlfriend. She knew Zuko was an idiot so this didn't surprise her to not only find him attracted to a moron but act on that attraction like a moron, and get caught like a moron. To further amplify his lack of intelligence, Mai was there with her to catch him in the act because they were supposed to go out tonight. Let's not leave out idiot #2 in this recipe of stupid pie, Katara.
Azula couldn't decide who was dumber, Zuko for cheating on Mai, or Katara for cheating on Aang. Azula thinks Aang is a moron too but she's grown fond of his moronic nature, it's fun, so for Katara to essentially throw away a great relationship with a good guy, even by her standards, it goes without question that Katara is the stupidest woman she's ever seen. However, Azula knocks some stupid points off for Katara as she allowed her to turn one woman's trash into treasure.
Mai, obviously disgusted by Zuko's stupidity, left the scene first. Zuko didn't bother to go after her, he was smart enough to know Azula was the most immediate threat. He asked her how much she saw, Azula said everything and how Aang would love to know too. Katara, who was quiet the entire time, finally spoke begging Azula not to tell Aang. Pleading that this was a one-time thing and it would break his heart. She began wailing pleas not to ruin their relationship.
As Azula began to leave, Zuko asked what made her think Aang would believe her after everything she put him through. Azula didn't hesitate and replied."Aang is a doofus not a complete fucking dumbass."She left the scene and kept the secret she had photo and video evidence of the affair. Ah yes, truly Stupidity at its finest.
Take a Bow by dickard23 was the main inspiration behind the attempt. I liked the idea of Azula stealing Aang from Katara due to Katara's infidelity so I wanted to toy around with it myself with either Katara and Zuko desperately trying to keep Aang from Azula thus further pushing him into her arms or Azula torturing Katara by treating Aang better than she did and Zuko by having Aang treat Mai better than he did. Y'know give Aang publicly what they tried to have privately. Dropped it because Take a Bow did it better.
