Devil or Angel?
As a child,
I was mama's angel.
Cuddled, kissed,
loved,
But I was no angel.
Yet I knew one,
Beautiful, young, lively,
loving, kind.
No hesitation,
no doubt.
Danced like no one's looking,
Sang like no one's listening,
Loved like no heart's breaking.
But with her, I'm nothing.
Tired of matching up, I
grew horns.
No hesitation,
no doubt.
Exchanging my untainted soul and
Pure conscience for a deal with
Saturn.
Saturn who gave up his body, his heart, his job,
his life, his ideals, his comrades
his being.
"What would you give?" he asked.
No hesitation,
no doubt.
"Myself."
How wrong could I be.
Though saved now, salvation
a distance away.
"The angel or the devil?"
Once again I questioned.
No hesitation,
no doubt.
"Myself."
I choose to be human.

Shinomori no Kami Daiji: This is for you! After you encouraged me to develop my idea, this is what I came up with. I certainly hope that you find it satisfying! Please review and let me know if I can do anything to further improve it.
I actually came up with this and pondered over it for a few days before deciding upon putting it down to paper. In fact, this is one of the hardest poem I have ever written, not only was I unable to find the proper words to say what I felt about Aoshi's plight, I could not even find the style or the emotions that I wanted to portray. So I started out by writing in prose form, and then translating it to poetry. If you're interested, just tell me and I'll post the prose form up! Hopefully, this manner in which I present it would be accurate and satiable.
And to the question of whether Aoshi is an angel or a devil, the answer, to me, is simple: He's neither, only human.
