Disclaimer: These characters do not belong to me. If they did d'you think I'd be writing fanfiction? Nah, I'd be doing a Mimi and shopping..... (Yup, this is my standard disclaimer now. I really can't be bothered to think of another one.)
I'm kinda depressed as the guy I've had a massive crush on for over two years has finally got himself a girlfriend. Needless to say, she isn't me. Grrrrrrrrrr. If I had courage I might have asked him out. But then again, he "values my friendship and opinions". Arrogant, patronising, jackass.
But having written part II of this series (I like doing things in a back to front way) and that made me happy, this is going to be a fluffy non-angst-y series.

Hikari's room is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world. It just radiates her. Sunny yellows and bright flowers contrasted with black and white framed photos mounted on the walls. Light everywhere, including the tiny candles lit on every avaliable surface. The smell of blossom mingled with freshly cooked chocolate brownies. Hikari perched on the window ledge like a little bird, her hair feathering out behind her. She smiled at me, her beautiful, caring smile that illuminates the whole of her face, even her eyes lighting up. My Hikari. I could stay here forever.
As it was, I was only staying until ten thirty. About ten minutes more in this haven. This was further worsened by the fact that both Daisuke and Ken were with us. Ken is extremely shy now he's not evil. I know that sounds crass, but it's true. Daisuke has kind of taken him under his wing, which is a) Sweet and b) weird. Maybe Dai's living up to his crest now. We're fighting less anyhow.
Which is more than I can say for my Oniisan and Taichi. The noise of their arguement echoed down the hall into the room, disturbing the peaceful tranquility Hikari has created. She sighed, the smile dropping from her face and started to get up. Daisuke was quicker.
"Look, maybe they'll calm down if they realise we're here. C'mon Ken." And he led the raven haired boy out of the room, grinning to himself for some insane reason. I glanced back to Kari and saw that she was upset. I went to her and gathered her up into a hug.
"I just..I just hate it when they fight." She quivered.
"Shhh." I soothed. "Shhh. You know they're good friends under it all."
"I guess." She sniffed. I kissed away her tears as I always do.

As I led Ken down the corridor toward the kitchen, I realised he'd caught my smirk.
"What are you up to Daisuke?" he queried, bewilderment reighing. I grinned again.
"I think TJ and Hikari needed a little bit of time to themselves. I reckon they'll be properly dating in a little while..."
"But... Didn't you want Hikari?" Ken asked cautiously.
"Yeah." I admitted reluctantly. "But she needs Takeru. They're meant to be together. Anyways, there's loads of hot chicks after my blood-"
I was interupted by a particularly loud crash and equally anguished howl from the kitchen. As we ran in Taichi was pulling an extremely pissed off Yamato up off the table.
"Dammit Tai! You just threw me! Could've-"
"Yama, I didn't mean to-"
"Well, you did."
Taichi sighed. "And I'm sorry."
Yamato opened his mount to retort. And then closed it in disbelief. He looked confused. "Did I just hear right?"
Tai growled. "Don't push it Ishida." He slung an arm around Yamato's skinny shoulders. "You alright?" Genuine concern.
"Broken back..." He caught Taichi's glare and grinned. "Other than a bruised ego, nothing much. We've gotta stop doing this."
Taichi nodded and caught a glimpse of me and Ken. "Oh, sorry guys. Must've sounded like something was being killed. Yama sounds like such a girl at times-" He was rewarded with an elbow in the gut. "Oof!"
"Where's Teeks?" Yamato asked, glancing at his pocket watch. Taichi rolled his eyes at it. "What?! I like it alright?!"
"Alright." Tai paused. "*Poser*" He coughed.
"'Poser'?!? This coming from Mister hotshot soccer star?" Yamato teased, playfully punching Tai's arm. They realised me and Ken were still watching them.
"Do you guys want a lift home? I'll just collect my smaller brother and we'll be on our way..."

Yamato walked in as we finished kissing. He didn't bat an eyelid, just told Takeru they were leaving in a moment and that I could come over tomorrow morning with Tai as they had a debate to perpare for. Then he left, smiling a little. I could hear him gleefully informing my Oniisan what was going on. The 'aww, it's so sweet's were definitely designed for our hearing. I couldn't care less.
Takeru was my boyfriend and I was happy.

Okay, so I got bored. I'm not very good at non Yaoi couples. As demonstrated above. And Ken and Daisuke are far to close for my liking. The idea of more than one gay couple is a bit unrealistic though.
Sappy fluff. Not pleased. Next chapter is far better though, I promise!!!!!
