Chapter 1: Why Grow Up?
The group of girls sat around in a circle, their eyes all lit with the same yearning that happened every Sunday morning. Traci, Jennie, and Shannon, a trio that vowed never to part, was engaged in their book talk. Traci was reading her favorite part when Jennie exclaimed suddenly, "Wouldn't it be cool if this was real?" "Don't be silly," Shannon replied, though she did not dismiss the thought entirely. They had been reading (for about the millionth time) The Lord of the Rings. It was their all time favorite movie and group of books. "For a bunch of eighteen year olds-" "Nineteen!" Jennie broke in. "As I was saying," Traci continued a bit annoyed at Jennie's outburst, "we still dream as if we were children." "Why grow up?" Shannon said dreamily. Traci brushed her straight brown highlighted hair from her face, and continued with her passage that she had begun before.
AN: this chapter may seem short and corny but it should get better.
