Temporary Note: this is my first harry potter fic, so don't be to hard on me. + I made a fanart for this story, it's kind of crappy. But.... http://hem.spray.se/jan-ove.friberg/2hermionecopy.jpg

- Every student in the hall was reading a piece of the Daily Prophet, everyone but Draco. Who wasn't in the great hall that evening. Maybe because of what it said in the paper, the headlines was 'Lucius Malfoy arrested, of partnership with you-know-who.' Everyone was talking about it, almost everyone was happy about it too. But the Slytherins was very angry, they thought it was not fair. But the Gryffindors was a little busy, they had arranged a big part for Harry and his friends, after all, it was he who had made it possible. The party lasted very late, and at twelve o'clock, it was still running. Hermione was too tired and bored of it all that she made her way too the library, she knew she wasn't allowed, but she had to study a bit for a test coming next week.

She was in the section for 'ghosts' when she heard someone coming through the dark corridor. She hid behind a statue and then she saw him, Draco. What was he doing here so late? She was about to burst in on him when she saw what he looked like. It was obvious that he had been crying. She didn't even know he had those kind of feelings for his father, she didn't usually care of him, but this was a time to put all of that behind for a while. 'Who's there?!' Draco was pointing his wand directly towards Hermione, but lowered it when she stepped out from the corner. 'What are you doing here?'

'I was just going to read for a bit. what are you doing here?' He stared at her than turned around and sat in a stool beside the fire. 'I'm.' It was hard for her to say this, 'I'm sorry about your father.' He made out a laugh then said with a cold voice, 'No you're not, you don't care about me or my family.' Stupid me, she thought, why did I even say anything, he will always be an idiot.

She was almost out of the room when he replied; 'But thanks.' Did she hear that? Had Draco Malfoy said a nice thing too her? She must be hearing badly. 'You're welcome...'

She was now sitting in another stool on the other side of the fire, pretending to be reading. She glanced over at him once in a while to see that he was okay. 'What are you reading?' He said and was looking at her book, 'About pleasant meetings with ghosts, we have a test on it next week you know.' 'oh, I forgot.' He took one book from her pile and read. They sat there about an hour, then they got tired. 'Draco, why are you always mean too me? Is it because I'm not.' 'Pureblood.' so she thought. 'just so you know, I'm just talking too you because so I don't flunk the test.'

'I'm going too sleep now, you should to.' Draco sat where he was with no word spoken. When she turned around she saw a tear rolling down his cheek. 'Haven't you gone yet?!' He said surprised and brushed away a tear. He was standing and now walking towards her, 'stop staring at me!' He pushed her so she almost tripped, 'stop starring at me!' he repeated. Before he got a chance to push her again, she hugged him. He was trying too get free, but he returned the hug after a second. His tears was cold against her cheek, but all of him was cold. 'let go of me.' He burst out of the room and said nothing.
