Play ground

The pilots trudged wearily back to the school where they were staying from the place they had hid the gundams. All five were tired mentally and physically. Suddenly Duo stopped in the middle of the path and looked in front of them. There was an old playground in an old park near the school. there was a slide, a swingset, monkeybars, a merry go round, and a jungle gym. He looked at the others and grinned.
"What is it Duo?" Quatre asked.
"Hey guys let's play in the park for awhile." Duo said practically bouncing where he stood.
The rest of the team looked from Duo to the old park. Heero looked at his lover and nodded.
"Alright Duo."
"Great!! Hey Q bet I can swing higher than you!" Duo said running for the swing.
"Can not!" Quatre raced after him.
The two of them jumped onto the swings and started to race to see who could go higher and faster. Heero and Trowa exchanged a glance and Trowa wandered over to the monkey bars. Heero went to look around the jungle gym before he climbed all over it. Wufei went over to play on the slide. At one point the group all got on the merry go round. They spun really fast and then Duo decided to jump off it as it spun he laughed as he landed on his butt on the ground. Trowa and Quatre played tag after that and chased one another all over the playground. Duo climbed onto the slide and teased Heero. Heero Followed Duo up the slide and almost caught him as Duo slid down Heero chased him around.
Finally the group was done playing they headed the rest of the way to the school but now they were not as tired. They had forgotten for a time about the burdens they held as soldiers. After all they were still young and could still play. Heero kept an arm around Duo's waist as they walked and Trowa and Quatre held hands. Wufei even had a small smile and was out of breath from playing. They were ready for their next mission whatever it would be.
