All for a Rose

All for a rose.

Royalty of nature.

Beautiful.

Painful.

Watch out for thorns.

"Diamonds!" cried the sisters.  "Pearls!  Bring me pearls!"

Selfish.  Asking jewels from a poor man?

Not me.

I'll ask nothing.  I need nothing.  I give.

Selfless.

That's me.

He will love me more since I ask nothing.

"Ask me for something, please my child."

He's asking for a request.

I must give what is asked.

A rose?  Yes, a rose.  All for a rose.

A storm.

A sick man.

A rose.

A disaster.

I'll save him.

A beast.

I'll save him too.

A monster.  A terror.  He needs me.

My love.  He needs that too.  I'll give it.

Unfair.

The sisters asked for jewels.

Selfish.

I asked nothing.  Only a rose.  All for a rose.

He's a prince now.

I did it!

I saved him!

Selfless.

That's me.

He's a prince now.  Should I worry that I still see a beast?  No.

Not his fault.  I won't ask for his love.

I'll give him mine.  I'll give.

Then he'll love me.

Alone.

All alone.  People everywhere, I'm alone.

My sisters asked for jewels.  They have them.

I asked for nothing.

I have nothing.

I gave it all away.
