Disclaimer: I do not own the ER characters. Do not sue me. This is just an
idea I came up with while cramming for finals. I thought it would be funny.
The Wizard of ER aka The Wizard of 'er'
I thought I had seen everything. but then again, I am an intern, so what do I know? But then again, no one expected the pizza delivery guy's car to come crashing through the ambulance bay doors. So now I'm lying here on this gurney in Trauma 1 with a dislocated shoulder, 3 metacarpal fractures, a hyper-extended knee, and various bumps, cuts, and bruises. Have I mentioned that I love my job?
Romano, Weaver, and Carter are talking in the corner. I'm pretty drowsy, but I can still make out some of what they are saying. Surgery for my shoulder. Great. I close my eyes briefly as someone approaches. I open them again and look up Elizabeth Corday. She gives me a little smile.
"Okay, now you're going to feel a little needle stick, and then you are going to become very sleepy. When you wake up, you'll be in a room upstairs, and it will all be over."
I blink and nod as best I can. Finally, I'll get some sleep! Yes!
"Ow. little, huh?" I smile at Elizabeth.
"Sorry." She smiles back. She knows I'm just playing with her.
The drugs are starting to kick in. Carter grabs my hand, and my eyes close as I'm wheeled out of the Trauma room.......
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------
"Huh? What? Where am I?" I look around, and suddenly remember. I'm in a hospital room. but something is different. It takes me a minute, but I figure out what it is. my leg is fine, as is my shoulder and wrist/hand. No casts, no pain, no nothing. All that I have to show for my hospital stay is my left hand taped firmly to a plastic board, and an IV needle stuck in it. "Weird."
I am quite thirsty, so I climb out of bed, and open the door. I take one step, and realize that I am now outside on a bright sunny day.
"WHAT THE HECK!"
