ANOTHER DIGIDESTINED

I chased the train, waving my paw. Kari looked back at me. Just as the train was about to vanish, I yelled, "I'll miss you, Kari!"

"I'm sure they'll come back again," Patamon reassured me. He flapped his orange wings. "TK and I cried for an hour before he promised to come back."

"Not all promises are kept," I said coldly, remembering Myotismon's promises to me.

"Sorry," Patamon said. Tears filled his big blue eyes.

"I didn't mean it like that. I was just. remembering things," I said.

"Myotismon?" he asked.

As I was walking away, Patamon cried, "Look at that!"

A white light came out of the portal the train had left through. The light flew towards the Dark Ocean.

"Another DigiDestined?" I said in awe.

"I wonder if he knows TK!" Patamon said excitedly.

"I wouldn't bother. That's the Dark Ocean the light went to. It's dangerous there; not to mention no one knows where it is," I said.

"You know where it is, don't you?" Patamon asked.

"Yeah." I walked off.

So stupid I was not to heed that as a warning! That light. I had a feeling I should investigate, but I was too afraid of the ocean to go there. I ignored it for now.

That night, I had a weird dream. Wizardmon came to me. He spoke of an upcoming danger.

"Myotismon left one last danger before he was defeated by the DigiDestined. A new evil is coming. I can feel it. This new DigiDestined might do more trouble than good," Wizardmon said.

"'More trouble than good?' What's that supposed to mean?" I said shaply.

"You will see, Gatomon. You will see." Wizardmon vanished.

"Wait! Come back!" I cried.

"You're acting weird," Patamon said.

I opened my eyes to see the little Digimon in my face.

"Do you know you talk in your sleep?" Patamon said, smiling.

"Oh, just leave me alone."

Patamon didn't leave. "You'll never make friends if you keep acting like that."

"Kari cared enough to be my friend."

"I'm your friend, too. Right?" Patamon said hopefully.

"Yeah, you're my friend," I said softly.

The little Digimon had given me faith. Whatever this new evil is, we can take it!
