I'd kind of hoped this would be longer, but oh well. IT WAS TWO PAGES WHEN
I WROTE IT!!! Cuz it's a Point of View fic I don't mention many names, but
it's pretty simple to guess who it's about.
OOH, HEY, GUESS WHAT!!! I DON'T OWN JACK, AND IF YOU THINK I DO, YOU'VE GOT PROBLEMS, PAL!!! Oh, and you shouldn't read this if you haven't beaten the game or at LEAST disc 3. Preferably have beaten the game, tho, cuz I don't really remember what happens when. I really need to play the game through a few more times. I kind of went on an on 'bout the freaking hair, tho. oh well. Who gives a fark.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The blond hair beneath my fingers shone in the dim light of the flame before me. This hair, that I have seen countless times, has somehow never seemed more beautiful to me than now. So smooth, so soft, it shimmered, and I suddenly found myself wanting to feel this hair against me. I lowered my face slowly, painfully slowly, fearful that my dear Dart, the owner of these mesmerizing locks, would raise a hand to stop me. My cheek brushed against them lightly, and some of my own long, dark hair fell from behind my ear. I immediately noticed how plain my hair looked in comparison to the golden shine below. I pushed it back in disgust. How could one person have such dull hair while another have such a beautiful color? I pondered this, and while I slowly stroked the blond hair, my mind wandered.
I've missed him... why did he have to have gone, anyway? Why couldn't he have stayed... with me...
I know. It was because he had to. I've told myself a thousand times, but I still don't understand completely. Battle... his nature. His destiny. His purpose. That was why he had left.
I still don't know if I've forgiven him. The years he's been gone are a hell to haunt me endlessly. My life began when I met him.... as did my life as a magical phenomenon.
Me... I'm not like anyone else. All others like me were killed by a monster...
I've even got a title...
A name, engraved in a legend. A name with a mystical past and a frightening future. No one knows what it means, what I mean... not even I do.
Sometimes I wonder. Why it was me. Why I was blessed, or cursed, with this name, this role, this place in time, between ordinary and the supernatural...
"Every 108 years, when the Moon that Never Sets glows red..."
It frightens me. What I can do...
I looked around frantically, trying to find something, anything to take my mind from these terrifying thoughts. My eyes strayed to my weapon.
...If he had never found me, where would I be now?
God only knows....
Of course, in a way, I am god....
A god of destruction...
I shudder at the thought.
Before he came, I never would have hurt anything, but he, he made me do it. He made me 'take up my sword' as the expression goes.
I wonder....
If I had never met him... If I had never met him, would I have become what I am now?
Black Monster..
Was it his fault?

Whoa. Cool. So did I fool ya? In case you hadn't guessed, this 'lil ficlet was set in the cave where Dart and Rose are after the Queen Fury crashed and the Phantom Ship sank. Did you think it was about Shana and her being the Moon Child? You DID, DIDNCHA??? YES, YOU DID!!! And the 'He' she (Rose, the one who narrated this fic) was always talking about was Zieg. If you don't understand, go back and read it again sometime. Try to make the connections with Zieg. It'll make sense. ^_^ Thanks for reading!!
