Love is an eternal flame.
Is this what people really believe? Are they too caught up in the passion to realize that tomorrow they'll just be a worthless pawn in the game of love?
She herself used to believe in love, in destiny but that was before Max Evans pulled out her heart and stomped all over it.
An eternal flame, isn't that an oxymoron? A flame can't burn forever, at some point it's going to be blown out or eventually burn out.
It's the same thing with love. Love doesn't last forever. Look at her and Max, in another lifetime they were husband and wife. They had a royal love and when they were sent to earth and the time came to fulfill their destiny he chose little Lizzie Parker over his alien bride!
Maybe destiny isn't all that it's cracked up to be. There's this human guy, his name is Kyle. He's sweet and funny and he actually appreciates me. But we're different. He's a human—okay so Max healed him but still he's a human and I'm an alien.
I wonder if Max told him the truth about us, he must have when he healed Kyle. Will Kyle think any less of me? Will he run away screaming or will he embrace me in his arms and tell me that it doesn't matter?
I don't know. I don't know what the future brings anymore. All I know if that I'm Tess Harding and destiny sucks.
