The Four Marauders

They're the founders of a map

that they pulled out their hat.

It had many special powers,

but it won't give you flowers.

"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good"

was the incantation said to open its hood.

You're looking for a secret way around?

Then just look here where you'll find them abound.

You think there's someone behind that fern?

This map never leaves a cloak unturned.

If you're looking for the secret,

here within lies the core:

The founders of this map

were known as the Marauders Four.

First is Mr. Moony,

please don't think he's loony.

Remus J. Lupin, a werewolf he was,

was monthly steered away from any public buzz.

Mr. Wormtail, this moron's up next,

made it seem as though he'd been hexed.

Peter Pettigrew made a last resort,

the scaredy cat had sided with Voldemort.

Mr. Padfoot was Prongs' best friend,

and remained so, through to the end.

Sirius Black was accused of a crime,

and imprisoned unfairly for twelve years' time.

Mr. Prongs was mentioned before,

and was pulled into a trap, a lure.

James Potter's life would soon be done,

but not before The Boy Who Lived was born his son.

It's the Four Marauders whom I just described;

Don't wonder how I know, for no one was bribed.

Now recite this line along with me,

before a map is found where you be,

to hide precious info on this parchment that's aged,

Hurry! There's someone coming! "Mischief managed!"
