This is the tale
Of our dear virus, Thrax
And the story of how
He gave Christmas the ax
It begins on the eve
Of everyone's favorite holiday
As children were sleeping
And Santa loaded his sleigh
"This holiday's a drag,"
Thrax said with a frown
As he looked down the hill
At the cheery Christmas town
He looked over the hill
And saw all the cells
Wrapping their presents
And ringing Christmas bells
"But this could be fun," Mr. Thrax simply said,
Smiling as he looked in the distance ahead.
So he hatched up a plan
That was simply prime evil
And sneered as he pictured his future upheaval
He dressed himself up
In a red hat and coat
Waited till night and repeated a quote
"It's getting late,
And this body is cold.
I'd better get moving,
If I want my plan to unfold"
And with that he descended
From the top of the hill
A Christmas Day victim
Oh, boy...What a thrill!
His destination was reached
Thrax stepped into the city
His claw was lit bright
And his expression was witty
Thrax made his way through
The entire Christmas city
Burning down houses
And showing no pity
One by one
Organs and veins were destroyed
But hey...
This was the part Thrax enjoyed
All through the night
The virus made good time
And a sparkle of fun
Shone through his eyes colored lime
"This is the best Christmas yet"
Thrax thought to himself
Melting a statue
Of a cute Christmas elf
Once in the brain
Decorated oh-so bright
Thrax got down to business
It was such a delight
With no trouble at all
He sped to the hypothalamus
Completing his deed
Without one single fuss
(okay so that doesn't rhyme perfectly... But you try and find a perfect match to "hypothalamus." c_c)
Thrax smiled and celebrated
His work was finally finished
Success once again
The city had diminished
He stopped and observed,
As the little town burned,
And laughed quite loudly
Before he returned
"Those pathetic little cells,
They don't know what hit 'em!"
Then he loaded his chain
With a shiny new gem
This tale, you see
Has quite a different ending
It's meant to tell you of
The holiday Thrax would be spending.
It may not be happy
Or full of yuletide cheer
But one thing's for sure,
Thrax had a very good year
