Unexpected
Tiger Evans walked into the co-ed Gym class, looking to see if anyone she knew was in her class this semester. She spotted Chloe Sullivan sitting with Pete Ross and Clark Kent up on the bleachers. She headed up, hoping the Coach, Mr. Morgan wouldn't notice her, but had no such luck. "Ms. Evans!" the coach boomed out, causing Tiger to cringe ever so slightly. "You, are late!" Tiger slowly turned around, then said with an apologetic smile, "sorry Coach Morgan-it won't happen again!" The coach narrowed his eyes at her, and retorted, "it had better not-get up in the bleachers with the rest of the class who arrived on time!" Tiger sighed, then continued up to where her friends sat. She spotted Lana Lang, a pretty girl who she was also friends with, sitting with Whiney Fordman, her boyfriend. She finally made it up and took a seat beside Clark and Chloe, then smiled when she saw what was in Clark's line of vision. "Give it up, Clark! She's taken." she said, startling the brown haired and rather attractive, in her opinion, boy out of his 'trance'. Clark smiled and looked at her, that look that said, 'whatever do you mean?' when he knew very well what she meant. "Hey Tiger!" Chloe said, brushing a loose strand of her short blonde hair out of her eyes. Tiger knew Chloe had a thing for Clark, and the girl commented, "yeah Clark-try looking for someone who's not taken." She gave him a cocky smile to go along with the statement as well. Pete rolled his eyes and smiled-Clark's obsession with the raven-haired girl, Lana, was known to all of his friends and Whitney as well. Clark grinned, seemingly ignoring Chloe's comment, then said, "good-morning Tiger." Tiger smiled back, and was about to reply when the Coach began to call out the instructions for the period. They were doing Gymnastics, and they needed to complete three activities before the period was out. Tiger climbed down off the bleachers and headed for the balance beam-her second favourite apparatus. She was okay with Gymnastics, but not particularly great. She completed the first two activities easily enough, then headed with Lana and Chloe for the mats. Tiger watched as Lana looked over briefly in Clark's direction-she had to wonder if Lana secretly liked Clark, but wouldn't admit she did until he would-and couldn't exactly bring herself to break up with Whitney. "You can go first, Tiger," Chloe said, giving her a smile and crossing her arms. Tiger smiled back, then walked up to the mats. She did a few cartwheels, the mandatory rolls and somersaults, and then some stretching positions. She then walked off the mats and watched Chloe, then Lana do their routines. Lana went last, and Tiger watched with a bit of admiration as the other girl did a few front and back flips. "Where'd you learn to do that?" she asked when Lana was through, raising her eyebrows amusedly. Lana smiled, then replied, "it's not really anything special-I took gymnastics for awhile, and then there's cheerleading." she shrugged her shoulders casually, then they headed for the change rooms.
