(p)In a dark compartment on the Hogwarts Express Hermione Granger sat
alone lost in thought.
(p)'What is with Harry and Ron this year? It's like I don't even
exist. I know they have girlfriends and they need to spend time with
them. But it's seventh year and I barely got a hello from them on the
platform. They were completely wrapped Ginny and Lavender and there
was no way I was going to stay and watch that.
How pathetic am I just sitting alone in a compartment sulking because
my friends ditched me for their girlfriends. I probably wont even have
time too see them because of my Headgirl duties. I'll probably be
spending more time with the Headboy. I wonder who it is? Well I'll
find out soon enough.'
Hermione took out her wand and whispered lux. The lights in the compartment
flashed on and she began to read Charming the World Around You.
In another part of the train Draco Malfoy was walking around with his two goons. He stopped outside the Dream Teams compartment and motioned to Crabbe and Goyle to remain outside. He then strode in. Much to his disgust Harry and Ron were snogging their girlfriends. "Well what do we have here," Malfoy drawled, "Looks like Potter and Weasley finally tricked some people into thinking they were half way decent." Upon hearing Malfoy the two couples sprang apart. "Malfoy what are you doing in here? Don't you have something better to do than what people snog." Harry said. "Please Potter, the thought of you snogging Weasley's sister sickens me. I just came in here to welcome back you and your pathetic friends. I mean you wouldn't want to break tradition would you?" Malfoy sneered. "Malfoy why don't you just leave considering you've done what you came to do?" Harry hissed. "If you would care to notice Potter I haven't completed my task." Malfoy replied. "What are you talking about ferret?" Ron asked scathingly. "Now that was uncalled for Weasley. But since I'm in such a generous mood I'll answer your question." Malfoy replied smirking. "You see in years past it's been tradition to welcome back the wonder trio but now I only see a wonder duo. Granger is missing from our lovely reunion." Harry and Ron's eyes went big. "Harry what happened to Hermione?" Ron asked. "I don't know. I don't remember seeing her after we met on the platform. Do you think she made it on the train?" Harry asked worried. "Oh no did you loose you know-it-all Granger? You really must be more careful." Malfoy said sarcastically. "Well I must be off." Draco was very pleased with himself he had embarrassed Potter and Weasley, ticked them off and got the last word. His last year was starting out great.
