Never Too Late

Never Too Late

I have climbed the tallest mountains,

I have swum across the ocean floors.

I have seen dark places even when the sun was strong.

I have seen light peaking through the darkness of the unknown,

I have been to places everyone can know.

I've traveled with the strongest crowd and only to see them fail.

I have lived with the weak and watched them prevail.

I have seen each city from different heights and views.

I have experienced failure but that didn't stop my success.

I have seen a person with beauty of a queen.

I have seen a heart stronger than the steel.

I have seen a lady, so poor and so blind,

I have seen a soul, trapped within itself.

Name one thing I haven't seen,

Name a place I've never been,

Name a moment I haven't experienced

And I'm sure I'll prove you wrong.

All my life I lived like that thought I was already old.

So much knowledge is a gift but there is just no more to learn.

I was feeling lonely knowing there is no place to go.

A place I can call home and learn from my mistakes that are to be made.

One day I have met a person so strange,

His heart is pure and yet so dark.

Unpredictable man, he really was.

Just when I thought I new everything,

Mourning in my thoughts.

This man comes and shows me, I am the one who's wrong…
