The clock said 7:30 p.m. Heero would have to pick up Duo in 15 minutes to be there on time. He patted his pocket to make sure the box was in there. He looked in the mirror one more time, then got his keys and left. He arrived at Duo's door at 7:45.
'Perfect.'
He rang the doorbell, and Duo came out in a nice, dark red suit jacket that was open with a black tux on top of a black tee shirt underneath. He looked amazing.
"Wow, Duo. Looking good. Ready to go?"
"Yup!" Duo flashed him a brilliantly white smile. "Lets go!"
Heero opened the shotgun door and duo got in. then Heero ran around to the other side and got in and started the car. On the way, Heero asked Duo how his classes were in collage and Duo started telling him about the field trips his class kept going on. Duo was finishing up about Universal Studios, when they arrived at The Olive Garden.
After they sat down at their table, Heero ordered some champagne.
'Almost time.'
I'm the one, who's in control,
Now I'm acting like a fool
Do my feeling show,
Is my face aglow?
Isn't it obvious?
After that, dinner was a blur. (No Heero wasn't drunk.) He couldn't remember the conversation very well, although Duo did most of the talking.
'Now for the dessert.'
During the dessert, a familiar song came on.
"Heero I know this song!" Duo started singing along with it quietly.
That I don't know what
I'm doing anymore
I'm feeling like a little girl,
Caught up in emotions,
I'm out of control
Isn't it obvious?
Heero interrupted Duo. "Duo? I have a question." He cleared his throat and gulped nervously. Duo looked at Heero, urging him on.

They tremble,

Heero got up and stood by Duo's seat, took his hand, and kneeled on the floor with one knee.
I don't know what I'm doing any more

"Duo, we have been dating through out the war, and for three years after that. I fell in love with you and stayed in love with you all through these years. I still love you and I hope you feel the same."
Suddenly these emotions
Are in control of my heart,
Can you see it in my eyes?
"Duo." Heero pulled the box out of his pocket, opened it, and pulled out a beautiful diamond ring. He then put the ring on Duo's finger and asked,
"Will you marry me?"
"Why bother ask? You know I gave my heart to you a long time ago."
Every glance,
Every smile,
Must give me away
And I feel so much,
I can't hide
Heero smiled and gave Duo a long, deep, happy kiss. The room broke out in applause.
That I don't know what
I'm doing any more
I feel like a little girl.
