"Running to school, late again, nothing new… Ah but wait, up ahead is that lady that's always watering her walkway…" I moved out of the way just in time. Unfortunately, this put my fiancé in the direct path of harms way.

*Splash* "Opps," I turned around and looked at the girl where she had skidded to a halt upon being splashed. Stopping probably hadn't been the best choice of action considering she was immediately hit again with another ladleful of water. Something about the way she stood there opening and closing her mouth as if she couldn't believe what had just happened reminded me of a goldfish in a bowl. "Hey, um, sorry. I uh, didn't *snicker* think, before I…" Oh gods, here it came. Can't… Hold… Back… I burst into a fit of laughter.

"It's not funny!" She yelled as her wits returned to her and she began to shake the water from her bangs and look down at her soaked clothing.

I tried desperately to contain myself. "I know… *snicker* It's just that… That…" Losing the battle I began to laugh again.

"Yeah yeah, ha ha ha, laugh it up. I wouldn't laugh at you if the situation were reversed you know," she argued while desperately trying to ring the water from her clothes in an attempt to conjure up some kind of decent appearance. This was difficult considering she was thoroughly soaked.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry. But honestly, every morning that lady is out here watering the walk way. You think you'd have the foresight to avoid her!"

"Oh and like you have such great reflexes or something?"

I stopped laughing and glared at her.

She sighed. "Now look at me, I can't go to school like this! I'm soaking wet!" She shivered violently. "Not to mention I'm f-freezing!"

"It's not that big of a deal you know. I mean it happens every day!" She shot me a look that said she was not amused. "And it could most definitely be worse."

"How do you figure!?!"

I rolled my eyes. "Well duh, Akane. You could have a Jusenkyo curse."

"Well, yeah," she stuttered, feeling stupid for overlooking the obvious. "But you're used to it by now! I mean you're like a walking water magnet!"

I chuckled. "Don't I know it?" I began to walk again and she begrudgingly fell into step behind me. "But trust me Akane, it's annoying no matter how many times it happens. Just be glad it was cold water and not boiling…" I flinched at the sound of a pipe bursting behind me. Me and my big mouth. I turned around slowly. Sure enough, the outdoor water main had burst causing a large blast of water to engulf the unfortunate girl. From the look of the steam rising up off the pavement, and the way she was running around screaming, I could tell the water was definitely hot.

"Look on the bright side," I yelled above her screams as she danced around in pain. "At least you're not cold anymore!"

The End

A/N: I don't know what possessed me to write this. I just got to thinking it would be really funny if the water that's constantly drawn to Ranma decided to switch targets. And so I came up with this. It was actually somewhat difficult, and I'm sure it wasn't that hard to figure out what was coming. But hey, you try writing a page long oneshot without giving away the punch line! Anyway, hope you enjoyed it anyway. Ja ne!
