The Degrassi Phantom

She looked around the office. It was late at night and she shouldn't have been in the school secretary's office but she had some things to do. She trashed the desk and the filing cabinet. She grabbed the pot plant and threw it through the window. She looked at the demolished office with a smile of satisfaction upon her face. Her work here was done.

J.T. Yorke ran threw the halls of Degrassi. It was the first day of school and he was already mucking things up. He found his class (English) and slipped in when the teachers back was turned.

"Glad you could fit us into your busy schedule James," Mrs. Kwan said turning to look to look him in the eye. "Tell me James Tiberius. What year are you in?"

He cringed. Why did teachers always ask questions they knew the answers to? "Grade 9 Mrs. Kwan," he muttered through clenched teeth. "And it's JT."

"Well J.T. You had better start acting like it."

"Hey Liberty," J.T. said to his girlfriend Liberty. "How are you doing?"

"Fine J.T. Just fine. Mrs. Kwan is so mean. I wish she would lay off," she said opening her lunch.

He studied her. In grade 7 she had had the biggest crush on him and he had told her he was gay to get her to stop. He had never realized how pretty she was. She had lost a lot of weight (not that it mattered) and she wasn't bossy, stuck up and she wasn't all work, no play. He liked her the way she was now.

"What?" asked Liberty. She looked him in the eye. "Do I have something in my hair?" He shook his head.

"Well what is it then?" she asked getting frustrated. He answered her by giving her a big kiss on the lips.
