This is the story of two young adults. Their hopes, dreams, fears, and accomplishments have been recorded here. He lost everything for her, and she did all she could for him. They have come a long way since those times, but the past is still a vivid and sometimes painful memory for Harry Potter and Scarlet Sampson. Their blood, sweat, and tears all over the world is a reminder of the people who overcame all odds just to be together.

This is their story.

Scarlet Sampson propped herself up in bed on her elbows and clicked on her flashlight. She didn't want any of the other girls to know she was awake. Pulling the covers over her head, Scarlet opened the leather bound journal and began to write.

Dear Husband,

It's me again, your wife. Things are okay here at Hogwarts, but I wish I knew where you were and who you are. I long for someone to love now that I'm seventeen. All of my friends seem to have someone. It never used to bother me all that much, but now for some reason it does. Where are you, true love of mine?

Love always,

Scarlet

Scarlet closed the journal she had been keeping for her future husband and sighed. She had started this a week ago upon returning in her seventh and final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She knew she wanted to be an Auror, as she possessed great talent in Defense Against the Dark Arts and had been taking an advanced magic course since the beginning of her fifth year. The only thing she wanted now was someone who was attracted to her as much as she was attracted to them. Sure, she had dated various and sundry boys before, but she didn't love any of them, and she was pretty sure they had never loved her.

Scarlet yawned and closed her eyes, falling into a deep, dreamless sleep.

A/N: Tell me what you think about this fic so far; right now it's pretty short but that's because I'm having trouble starting it. I'll keep working on it though.
