Disclaimer- No names used, but anyway I don't own the characters I am intending this to manipulate.

Rating- PG I think, but it could be G, not sure.

Author notes- The second part in my Love trilogy, one for every of my favourite pairings. Since MaryRose told you the first you can probably work out the next two, and I am leaving enough clues in each piece for you to work it out. Good luck and thanks for reading.

Love by Scratch

He hadn't left the ship with the other members of the crew, and was pleased to see their return. They hadn't had an easy time out there, but it hadn't been plain sailing on board either. But it was all over now and he was going to bed.

As he walked down the corridor, he saw most of the crew but spoke few words to any of them. He couldn't push the thoughts out of his head. He knew what he had to do. He turned in the opposite direction in the corridor. And ran.

When he reached her quarters, he buzzed but didn't wait before he opened clicked on the door panel, and walked in. There she lay, on the bed, drifting to sleep. She had obviously heard the noise and stirred.

"Wake up," he said, "I need to talk to you." She sat up and rubbed her right eye with the heel of her hand, sliding the rest of it across her face. "All day," he continued, "I have been mucking up, making mistakes, forgetting things, and now I know why." he said.

"Why? " she asked curiously, staring him in the eyes. They were deep blue, and provided her with endless questions.

"All day I was thinking. I wasn't concentrating because.well.I was worried. I was worried about the mission. I was worried about." he didn't finish as his friend placed her hand on his and guided it to her face.

"You were worried about me," she said as she leant towards him.

"Well. yeah," was all he managed before he succumbed to temptation, kissing her gently on the lips.

When she pulled away she looked him the eyes again. "Thank you," she said, pulling him into a clutch. He relaxed, leant backwards and fell asleep in the arms of his future.
