Disclaimer

If I owned these Characters (aside from the ones you don't recognize) I probably wouldn't be writing these.  If I owned these characters, you would probably see this story on the show.  Hey!  You know what?  I am writing these and you don't see this story line on the show, therefore, I DO NOT OWN THESE CHARACTERS!!!  So don't sue me!

This is AU, so yeah.  If I tell you more, it will throw the surprises away.

She ran.  She didn't know why she was running.  He loved her. She loved him, or at least she thought she did.  But why was she running from him?  She would ask her self the same question over and over again.  "Why?"  Why did things have to be like they were?  Why did they have to hide their feelings from each other, from their best friend for so long, only for when it was finally out in the open, to have her run.  One minute they were sitting, his arms wrapped around her, watching a Kings game on the television.  The next minute she was standing by the door stammering how sorry she was.  "Sorry Will."  She said, before shutting the door.  The funny thing was, in his arms, she felt safe, secure.  She never stopped running until she reached the end of the pier.  Often she would run out to the end of the pier and sometimes just think.  There was sometimes a man standing there, waiting.  She wasn't supposed to know his name, but she did.  She wasn't supposed to acknowledge his existence, but she did. Sometimes they met other places, like a warehouse.  There was no light on the pier but she saw someone standing there.  He was already there, doing the same thing she was doing.  There wasn't even a wrong number to prompt them both there.  She was quiet, as she looked out at the endless ocean.  "Why?"  She quietly whispered.  He didn't hear her.  He said nothing.

The two stood there, just watching the waves lapping at the shores.  He spoke, with simple words.  "About the watch."

"Don't."  She stopped him; she didn't want to know what he was going to say.  It all came clear why she ran.  She wasn't in love with will.  She was in love with someone else.  The man at the pier.

Fin.

No more chapters.  Sorry.  I'm leaving it there.
