~ The Mirror ~



I look in front of me

Acknowledge my reflection

But there is no me in it

All I see

Is the exact image

Of my father

I loathe; I despise

I am repulsed by him

And yet

When I look in the mirror

All I see is him

But I don't want to

Become what he is

I lash out

Smash the mirror

Acknowledge my reflection

It's broken

I like it better that way
