Chapter 1
Mariah laid her eyes upon the horrible scene. Lee was rising from where he had tumbled and the
Blade Breaker's training complex was up in flames. Even worse was the thought that all the
people she knew had been destroyed.
"Yes they have Mariah." Lee sneered.
Mariah gasped. Had he read her mind? Did he know what she was thinking at this very moment?
In almost an answer Lee said, "Yes I do. You can stop asking yourself so many questions. I have
read your mind since we first met. The ability has stayed with me from then.
"No Lee, that isn't true." Kai crawled from under the burning wreckage. " You know that isn't
true. I know who you really are. You can't fool me."
Lee looked at Kai, then at Mariah. "If you'll excuse me for a moment." He strode over to Kai.
"Now Kai, you don't want to get yourself hurt now do you? Cause if you say one more word,
you're a dead blader. You understand?"
Kai's eyes grew wider, and yet he was able to keep his composer. "You know what Lee? I don't
care. you can hurt me all you want. I just figured it all out. I was cruel, mean, and stupid to my
team, and now that I realize their gone, I can only regret. So go ahead. Shoot me. I don't care
anymore. But one thing that I have to do is this."
With a swift movement, Kai grabbed at Lee's shirt, pulling out a concealed gun. Swiftly passing
the gun to Mariah, he socked Lee in the jaw. Mariah caught the gun with shaky hands. She
looked up at Lee and Kai rustling in a furry of punches on the ground, and looked back at the
gun. It was like high school all over again. (( that is a story which will be told after this )) She
lifted it. It felt heavy in her hands. She put her finger on the trigger. She was going to end this.
Pulling the trigger, the bullet flew straight and true. Catching Lee in the chest. Lee fell to the
ground with a thud and didn't get up. Lee was dead.
