WARNING: OOCness MIGHT OCCUR!

Disclaimer: I don't own Cowboy Bebop or Quija boards.

Quija

~

The Bebop crew was sitting in the living room with nothing else to do. The ships were totaled, and Jet stubbornly announced he wasn't going to do anything that night. There were no bounties that they could try and get to and the TV wasn't working worth crap. Jet sighed and leaned back against the chair.

Spike had refused to remove his feet from the couch so Faye was stuck on the arm of it. Ed and Ein were probably hacking or snooping around. Out of the blue Ed jumps in with a board balanced on her head and Ein on top of that trying to stay on, which wasn't an easy task.

"Ed, what is that?" Faye asked.

Jet's eyes widened as he saw the letters that spelled out 'Quija' on the side.

"Ed! What the heck are you doing with that!?" Jet exclaimed.

Spike and Faye thought he was going to jump out of the chair and take it from her, but he restrained himself.

"Ed is bored! She wants Spikey and Faye-Faye and Jet-person to play with her!" Ed exclaimed.

"Not with that we won't!" Jet snapped.

Ed didn't seem fazed. Spike grabbed the box from her as she bounced past him. When he grabbed the board the dog was flung off into Jet's lap. Jet gave Spike a death glare. Spike just shrugged and read what it said.

"You talk to ghosts?" Spike asked to no one in particular.

"I do that every day anyway." Spike mumbled.

Spike sat up in the middle of the couch. Faye promptly slid down from the arm to beside Spike. She stopped looking at her nails for a second to look at the box Spike was now looking at. Spike started reading it outloud, but softly, to himself.

"Oh, gee, Spike. I didn't know you could read." Faye kidded.

Spike was about to shoot her a nasty comeback, but Jet snatched the box from him.

"What's wrong with you?" Faye, Spike, and Ed asked in unison.

"This isn't a game." Jet tried to explain.

"Yes! Yes! And Ed want to play it!" Ed yelled.

Jet shook his head.

"Oh, come on Jet. I could get interested in this." Spike defended.

Jet looked shocked.

"Yeah, it might actually be fun. If you can bet on it." Fay added.

"Yeah, you'll be betting something. Your life!" Jet said.

"Well we do that every day." Spike said.

Spike took the box back from him.

"Okay, Ed, you want to play? We'll play." Spike said.

"Since it is supposed to scare you, whoever can play this past 12:00 p.m. will get five woo longs." Spike said.

"Five!" Faye exclaimed.

"Yes, five." Spike stayed calm.

Faye looked like she really didn't want to, but she agreed. She wasn't going to back down from Spike at all costs.

"You two-um-three," Jet remembered Ed "are crazy!"

"Why?" Faye asked.

"That thing is linked to the devil!" Jet said.

"So are you. Black dog. You know. Black dogs are the devil in disguise." Spike offered.

"That isn't the point! Those things are evil and I won't allow it on my ship!"

"Fine." Spike gave in.

But, it was too late. Faye had already set the board up with Ed's help while Spike and Jet were arguing. Jet fainted. He really fainted. Spike almost fainted from seeing Jet faint. It just wasn't him.

"So, what do we do?" Spike asked.
