*~!~Twinkle Little Star~!~*
When I look up at the vast, starlite sky,
I think of you.
I imagine that I'm with you again, lying on the dew-soaked graas,
your hand in mine.
You'd point out a star and tell me a story about it,
a naive story,
a fairytale with a happy ending.
You'd explain to me in a voice filled with amusement and adventure,
that each star represents a living being.
You'd say that when a person dies, their star will fall
and a new one will take its place, in honor of the
spirits memory.
You'd turn to face me, those irresistable, ethereal eyes reflecting your
faith and love.
Do you believe?
full creamy lips mouth the words, letting them hang in the air,
crisp and alone,
waiting for an answer.
I pull you into a deep embrace, combing my fingers through your elegant strands of
chestnut hair.
I leave a lingering kiss on your flushing cheek, nodding my head in agreement
in the comfort of the dark silence.
You look at me once more, those eyes attempting to burn through my flesh and
bore into my soul.
You reach out for me and our lips meet.
The stars in the skies are the only witnesses to our acts of trust and passion, but
I know they will never tell
they know we were meant to be as one.
We separate and I open my eyes only to find
reality pull me down.
I look up into the night sky, squinting at the brightness of the full moon.
I catch a glimpse of a shooting star and the phrase
Do you believe? rings in my head.
My gaze then settles ona peice of jewelry clenched in my hand;
a golden cross.
I look up again and see a bright, luminous star shining gleefully in the place of the
dead one.
Yes, I do believe.......

Okay, just be honest, I can take it!! *reviews for the poor?*
