I wrote this a while back, strangely enough, a few days before one of my relatives passed away.
So this is to my late Aunt. We will miss you, and even though you are gone, you will remain among
us.
A sad, little Christmas tale of my favourite X-Man. Please hold on to your hankies.
Disclaimer: None of this is mine. Jubilee and Logan belong to Marvel, the song is from Bing
Crosby's 'White Christmas'.
Rating: G, although it's a very sad story.
Reviews: Yes, even if you hate me for doing this to Jubes.

If only in my dreams
Softly, the dying flames in the chimney crackled, sending tiny fragments of light through the darkened
room.
All silent, holding an envelope, the lone figure stood at the large window, gazing into the silently falling
snow.
I'll be home for Christmas,
You can plan on me
We'll have snow
And mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Pressing her hand against the frosty glass, Jubilee felt her heart breaking with each diminishing flake.
He had promised.
He had given her his word, to be there, since he hadn't made it to her birthday.
Pulling out the card from it's sheet, her eyes blindly flew over the lines, she already new by heart.
Dear Jubilee
This is just to say, that I will be visiting you this Christmas.
You have my word, that I will be there, to hand my little darling her present.
Looking forward to seeing you
Love
Logan
Christmas eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
She placed the card back, and her eyes roamed the white forests surrounding the campus.
The X-Men had called her from Westchester, two days back, whishing her happy holidays, and
confirming his departure.
He had said something about taking the plane.
So why had he not yet arrived?
I'll be home for Christmas,
You can plan on me
We'll have snow
And mistletoe
and presents under the tree
The clock in the hallway chimed, then, in perfect sync with the church bells, rang twelve.
It was December, 26th.
She had waited the past two days and he had not come, or called.
Nothing.
Jubilee stood there for another fifteen minutes, then slowly turned away from the window.
He was not going to come.
She threw the letter into the glooming fire and watched it blaze shortly, before turning into black
ashes.
And for a second, her heart fluttered, before halting it's rhythm for the very last time.
Christmas eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams

Sad, isn't it? Well, don't say I didn't warn you. Please review anyway.
