And to all, a good night.
Well, hello folks! Come on in. Sit down by the fireplace and relax. You can call me Smile, storyteller for this evening, and I promise you tonight's story will be something special, filled with madness and pain just as you like it! Let's see. This is how it all begins.
It hadn't been that long since Nny had gone on his 'halide', leaving Squee in the hands of his mom and dad, yet it seemed a lot had happened.
Nny jerked his head of the pillow as he awoke from yet another nightmare. His eyes focused and he watched the shadows of the empty room.
What was that? One of the many shadows silently slid out through under the door as if it didn't want Johnny to see it.
Johnny had seen it though, ever since he had moved to his lonely cabin, he had seen it. He had seen a lot in this cabin, high up in the mountains to where he had moved to get away from everyone.
Shivering he realized it was still many hours till dawn. He would have to sleep again. And he was so tired. He jerked his eyes open he didn't want to sleep. Ever since he had come here, nightmares had tormented him in his sleep and his eyes played tricks on him when he was awake. He was going mad all over again, he knew it. It was all waiting inside his head, waiting to get out.
He fell asleep.
He woke up, he was laughing. He wasn't in his bed anymore; instead the walls of the kitchen surrounded him. Where was he? Had he been sleepwalking?
He looked down to his hands as he felt an unidentified presence there. They were covered with blood, his own? He hadn't killed in a lot time so it was odd to see blood. 'Why can't I stop laughing!?" Nny asked himself.
A shadow silently left the room.
He sat up in his bed. Was it all a dream? Probably. Then who's laughing? The laughter bubbled from the room behind the door he was facing, the room that should be the kitchen.
As he entered the room the laughter increased in strength. He saw a familiar shape in the middle of the room. A shadow, a large one, about the same size as him actually.
"Why wont you leave me alone?" he asked the shadow and the shadow turned to him still laughing. He could se it more clearly now, he could its spiky hair. He realized who it was. And the door cracked open. "Why wont you leave me alone!?" he screamed at the shadow, his own shadow, and it stopped laughing. It started moving toward him across the room. Nny backed away until he hit the wall behind him.
"Get away from me!" he screamed but the shadow only came closer. Every shadow in the room seemed to react to his screaming they were all now moving toward him. They would crush him, cover him, and suffocate him. He panicked but there was nothing he could but scream.
"Get away from me!" he screamed again and everything went black. The shadows were all over him now. If anyone would have been there the sight of what just happened would be enough to convince them that they were completely insane. What the shadows were about to do was to rid the world of the life force called Johnny C.
He regained consciousness in some dark place. Thus, Nny couldn't open his eyes. He tried to move but all his limbs were stuck. He screamed but he couldn't open his mouth. He had no idea of where he was but he wanted out of there. He tried to scream again but to no avail. He was left alone in the dark unable to escape, unable to breathe with only his growing insanity as company.
If anyone would have been there they might have heard him, but no one was there and no one would be there. Except for the shadows.
That's it for today folks. By the way, have you ever wondered how it is to be buried alive? .Never mind. But it's interesting what madness can do to someone. So how did you like it was it insane enough for you? Please, do review and maybe we can enjoy another story together.
