It Comes With a Twist

AN: Okay. This story has been kicking around in my head for awhile and *grin* it makes me so happy. Unfortunately, this is just the obligatory prologue that tries to make things sound mysterious and whatever. The twist is on its way. Hahahahahaha! Hahahahaha! Prologue
This was it. The day when good and evil got together to decide who was the best in a dignified and civilized manner. In other words, they sent their champions out to beat the crap out of each other and cause as much property damage as possible. Ahh...a beautiful system to all...except those immediately caught up in the whole good vs. evil scheme.
Our champions have been at odds for half a century. They have fought again and again for control of the one thing that could tip the balance in their favor: Shikon no Tama. Born from the souls of previous champions, it is a magical talisman that many have died to possess. Shikon no Tama is rumored to grant wishes, but always with a price or a twist.
As is often the case in a contest of this nature, good has somehow overcome the odds. Good's champion stands victorious over his mortally wounded foe, but no victory is easy. Fate is very fickle and prone to chaos. For although evil's champion has lost, he holds in his hand the trump card.
With his last breath he makes a wish upon Shikon no Tama.
