A/N: I feel bad for Aragorn/Elessar/Estel/Whatever-you-wanna- call-him's daughters. They had no names! So, I gave them some. Also, I think the story left us hanging.so I decided to pick it up. Hope it's good. Disclaimer: I don't own any of Tolkien's works.Tolkien does. I admitted it! Please don't sue! If you do, Farmer Maggot'll get really mad, and sell me! Then I'll be beef on your plate, and not writing. That's bad.
Prologue
It has been told that at the end of the Fourth age, a new king arose in Gondor, such as has not been since Elros Tar- Minyatur, the first King of Númenor. He took to wife Arwen Úndomiel, daughter of Elrond Peredhel, ironically the elder twin brother of Elros. From their union was born three children: Eldarion the wise, second king of the reunited realms of Arnor and Gondor, Emeldir Nerorë, who was in spirit and in body much like her foremother Emeldir the Man-hearted, mother of Beren, and Elensilmë the Fair, who resembled most of the three the kindred of the elves, of which they descended. This is an account of their lives, and deeds they accomplished in their time. ***
King Elessar watched his children play with their friends with the pride only a father could have. Beside him, his dear friend, King Éomer, laughed aloud as his own son, Elfwine, tried to imitate his father. His other friend, and steward of his realm, Faramir, chuckled to himself as his son Elboron* did his impression of his mother. On the side, Emeldir, his middle child was trying to teach her little sister Elensilmë how to weave a flower crown. His eldest, Eldarion was 'leading the fleets of Cair Andros to aid the Rohirrim and the other forces of Gondor.' How simple life was for children, oblivious to the world. If only he could keep his son from knowing how truly terrible the battle of Pelennor Fields had been. If only he could keep his children from all the horrors of life.
"It is a pity," said Faramir thoughtfully, "that they shall grow to be warriors, great and fearless though they shall be." Elessar and Éomer looked at him. There were some in Gondor who would venture far enough to call Faramir a seer, though he would never admit it. Elessar, though, sometimes wondered if they were right in calling him so. He always seemed to know what one was thinking.
"It is a pity, indeed, though it does make a father proud that he may yet hear songs of his son." Said Éomer, smiling. The Rohirrim always praised great deeds of valor on the battlefield, and their King was no exception. Elessar laughed to himself.
"That my wife had borne me all daughters! Warrior or not, I don't think I'll ever stop worrying about him.either of them." He said, watching Elensilmë start running to them. "As it should be, my king," Faramir said, "as it should be."
Yeah, yeah, I know. Short chapter, make it longer. I also know that Arwen wasn't in it. I promise she'll show! See the review button? Appreciate it if you'd use it! Oh, yeah. I know the format looks.odd.ff.n has been giving me problems. Sorry.
