Calling Out To You

By Mika McKinnon

Summary: I don't know if anything's ever going to be the same again.

Lily's catatonic, Mum and Dad are gone and Petunia's blaming it all on Lily!

It will get better Charm, won't it?-Tansy

I can feel it. The pain, the hurt, the anger.

I can't stop it, it flows from me like the words do from this pen.

I'm bleeding sorrow, breathing desperation, drowning in my own suffering.

I'm choking and no one can help me,

I'm falling and no one can catch me,

I'm sick and no one can cure me,

And it's killing me

"Lily?" A tentative voice asked slowly, unsure.

Lily didn't reply and continued to stare with blank green eyes more like a pair of jade mirrors, devoid of any emotion, than anything else.

"Lily?" the voice, a youthful voice, so often filled with joy and laughter that it felt strange, wrong for it to be so serious, worried and scared, so very, very scared.

"Can you hear me? Are you alright?" A soft and clammy hand was placed on her ice-cold, ice-white shoulder.

Lily flinched at the touch and shrugged the much more coloured hand of her thin

shoulders.

Hurt filled the aqua green eyes that were staring at her so, their light was dim, though they were still eyes, rather than the cold, hard slabs that had claimed her elder sister.

Tears formed in her eyes as her sister, who had refused to acknowledge her presence for the past hour apart from avoiding her touch, ignored her still.

"Lily!" The tears fell freely now, quickly, not having time to track down her cheeks before another swept it away and took it's place.

"Come back Lily! Come back to me! It doesn't matter what Petunia says!" She was shaking her now as she yelled and still, no reaction.

It was like she didn't even know she was there anymore.

She let her hands drop to her sides as sobs racked her body, there was a silence in which only the odd sniffle could be heard.

Lily slowly twisted around of her own accord, making her chair creak, the girl looked up hopefully, Was she back? Was She listening? Did Lily even know who she was any more?

Lily's face was blank, empty. It was like Lily's body was there but the essence, the spirit of the smiling, sarcastic, sassy girl that was Lily, was no longer there.

"Tansy?" A female nurse said quietly from the doorway. "Your sister is waiting for you in reception."

Tansy nodded and wiped her eyes with the back of one of her hands. "Just a sec."

"We are helping her Tansy."

Tansy smiled and stood up, gently brushing a strand of limp, dull red hair out of her elder sister's eyes. "I know, I know." With one last wistful glance at her catatonic sister, she left, and the nurse left with her.

Without a word Lily picked up her notebook and began to write.
