She pulled her sleeping bag tighter around her shoulders, shivering slightly.
Watching.
Watching him... through the flickering flames from the raging camp-fire, the glowing colours cast falteringly across his skin.
She'll be next on guard, but she knows it; she won't get any sleep before then...
He'd asked her, again.
Fishing. For them, it meant something else entirely. Something it shouldn't.
Something that was totally wrong.
She couldn't let herself go.
She *couldn't* go.
Studying his face again, she realised he was returning the gesture; with a big-assed grin on his face.
...*Shouldn't* go.
Only... this time, she hadn't refused.
