The New Pet Ch.1

Ron and Hermione were sitting at the bar at Hogsmeade (I can't remember the name, so if you know it, please tell me), drinking butter beer. They were discussing potions class from the day before. Malfoy had scorched his and three others eyebrows off. Snape had given out a slight "humph." Ginny was a second year now. Harry was trying to show her a few of his very own, "tricks of the trade." Ron was starting to get worried about her. Hermione kept telling him not to worry, that Harry would watch out for her. They were on their weekend break. Harry decided to stay at Hogwarts with Ginny. She told Hermione that she needed Harry's help on researching something. "They wouldn't tell me what," said Hermione. Ron was getting frustrated. He wanted to go back to Hogwarts and use Harry's invisibility cloak to spy on them. Hermione insisted that he didn't. They decided to go to the candy store to his mind off of it. Harry asked Ron to get him some Betty Bops Every Flavor Beans. It was around 5:00, so they decided that it was time to head back to Hogwarts. Ron was very anxious, he ran for most of the way. Hermione was having a hard time keeping up. Though he wouldn't have let her fall to far behind. When they were running across the grounds towards the castle, they ran right into Hagrid. He was in a real hurry. All he said was "Hi," and ran off. There was a burlap bag strapped to his back that Fang kept trying to smell. It looked like something was moving inside of it. They couldn't tell what. Ron was to worried about his sister to be curious. When the two reached the castle, it was time to eat dinner. They met up with Harry and Ginny in the Grand Hall. They were both smiling and holding hands. Ron gave Harry a sour look and Hermione elbowed him (Ron), in the side. Then Harry snickered. They all sat down and ate together along with Neville. After dinner, Ron did his best to stay between Harry and Ginny. After talking around the fire for a while, they all went to bed. In the morning, Ron, Harry, and Hermione all had transfigurations. Ginny had defense against the dark arts. The new D.A.D.A. teacher was Blagunna. He was very nice. Professor McGonagal implied that he wouldn't last very long. Harry thinks that she has something against the new professor. He is a little bit intense like he is preparing us for something. It was still towards the beginning of the year, so maybe he was just getting used to the new job. Most of the students did like him, though Hermione was suspicious. At lunch Hermione told Harry about Hagrid with the sack. They decided that they should go and pay him a visit. During their break, they walked to Hagrid's cabin. While Harry and Hermione knocked on the door, Ron looked through a window. He saw a strange beast. It was small and had two different heads. He had never seen or heard of anything like it.
