Raven's Rival

Disclaimer: Okay ppl, here's a brand new fic about--well you'll just have to find out! I definitely don't own Zoids. If I did, why would I be here?? I was just wondering, but what is it with all those weird pairings out there?? Some of them are just ::eew:: but yeah, to each his/her own. *shrugs* well please R & R and read on!! ~.^
Prologue
"HOW dare you…" Raven's intense voice came through the comlink. "Nobody challenges me and gets away with it." He thought of Van, his archenemy, and smiled with satisfaction. Van had barely gotten out of their last battle alive, and it was clear who the victor had been. He had been Raven's biggest focus, until now.
Raven had been on his way to Guygolos, when he had been attacked without provocation and been forced to fight. It was a zoid like nothing he had seen before. It's metallic blue sheen sparkled in the sun.
"Pretty," he'd remarked, "but can it fight?" Much to his surprise, a female voice had answered,
"Are you sure you want to know?" A battle had been imminent.
"SHADOW!!!" he shouted. At the same time, he saw a multicolored streak shoot into the girl's zoid. So, she also has an organoid. This will be interesting, he thought.
But halfway through the battle, when it seemed she was gaining the upper hand, (even as Raven grudgingly admitted it) she had turned around and disappeared. Not before a last word though.
"Raven. You're a good pilot. I enjoyed our first meeting. You'd better be on your guard." Her silky voice reached his ears. He had chased after her of course, but her dragon-like zoid had been too fast. Imagine that. Too fast for the Geno Breaker. It gave him a lot to think about.
Maybe Van, you've just been replaced. Maybe. A slow smile spread across his lips.
