FLYING HIGH
A/N, okay, so I don't own any of the characters, only the non-existent plot, but oh well. : [ : ( : {
"Mr. Potter, are you listening?" came the voice of Harry's flying teacher, Madame hooch. "Sorry Professor" he apologized, and started paying attention to his teacher. " Now, flying is a very useful skill to have, this is why it will be fart of your end of term exams to do a flying test." At that a lot of the girls looked very shocked, and scared, but none scared as Neville Longbottom. "The Quidditch pitch is free most afternoons if you need to practice, as Quidditch season is over. But I ask you to have at least tow people out there, to avoid any accidents." Madam hooch continued, as though she had not noticed the expressions on the majority of the class' faces. Unlike most students, harry was not worried, because he knew how to fly, being a Quidditch player himself, but he was worried about his girlfriend Hermione, she had hardly ever been on a broom, there was only the few lessons they had had in first year. Harry felt very sorry for Hermione, and decided to teach her how to fly himself, after all who better a teacher than someone who had been asked to join the English International Quidditch Team, upon leaving Hogwarts. So that evening when the rest of Griffindor house was studying for exams, Harry and Hermione went down to the pitch 'Okay, what do you want to learn first?" harry asked, when they finally arrived at the Quidditch pitch. " Um. just to fly" Hermione replied nervously, looking at Harry's firebolt as though it were about to explode. "Okay," Harry said while he mounted his broom," jump on!" and he patted the wood in frount of where he was sitting on his broomstick. Hermione got on rather aquardly as harry wrapped his strong arms around her waist. " Now you can just push off the ground, okay? We won't go very high until you're ready." Harry said soothingly. And with that Hermione kicked off and found she was hovering about ten feet off the ground. " Wow! This is fun!" she said excitedly, looking down at the ground. " See, I knew you would like it if you just gave it a try." Harry commented. "What should I do now?" asked Hermione eagarly, tapping the head of the broom. " Just lean to which ever side you want to go to, and lean forward to go forward, pull the broom up, to go up." Harry explained. Hermione soon had them going around and around and even upside down, having the time of her life. " Look at me, look at me, I'm flying!" Hermione screamed at the top of her lungs. Harry was very proud of her for overcoming her fear of heights, and to actually enjoy flying. He told her this, and have her a peck on the cheek. "Well. you know I couldn't have done it without you " she replied sweetly, and leaned back into his arms.
