Darien Fawkes stood in front of his bathroom mirror, studying his face in
the light of the florescent globe. "Nice to meet you handsome," he said to
his reflection.
"Have you quite finished now," asked a familiar voice, it was coming from
his partner, Robert Hobbes, better known as Bobby or just plain Hobbes.
"No, and if you don't mind this is a big part of my morning ritual"
"I noticed," Hobbes retorted. "But the Big Man wants to see us, and when-"
"duty calls we have to answer," finished Darien.

The Official was waiting in his office, a man hovering annoyingly around him. The agent that was reporting to him looked at the hovering man with distaste, "Does he really need to be here?"
"No," replied the Official, and the man gave him a hurt look and left the office, opting to eavesdrop at the door.
"What other information do you have on this, ah, situation Agent Smith," requested the Official, drumming his fingers on his desk.
"The girl, apart from having been genetically modified, has been trained by the Chinese," reported the agent who was still standing as the Official did not request the unwanted intruder to sit down.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh, so she can do martial arts," stated the Official. "Another excuse for why you can't catch her."
"Sir, with all due respect, this girl doesn't just practise martial arts, she is a master of it," Agent Smith said, trying to keep some of his dignity. "This is one of the reasons none of my men have been able to get anywhere near her."
"Why have you requested our help?"
"We were informed that one of your men specialises in, uh, creeping up on people."
"And who, may I say, informed you of this?" asked the Official.
"That's classified," answered Agent Smith, with a satisfied smirk on his face.

Just then Darien and Bobby entered the office building, seeking out Claire, the keeper who needed to give Darien the counteragent for his implanted gland that secretes "Quicksilver" and turns the implanted person invisible. Unfortunately, the gland has the side effect of rendering the implanted person to go berserk if a counteragent isn't occasionally injected.
"There you go," Claire said as she finished injecting the counteragent, "all done."
"Are you sure your not making it hurt more then it should," asked Darien.
"Baby," muttered Hobbes under his breath. Darien heard and pinched him on the forearm.
"Ouch!" Hobbes cried.
Claire shook her head in distaste, "The Official needs to see you two in his office." After a few moments when neither of the other two moved, Claire shouted, "NOW!"
Both Hobbes and Darien moved quickly, not wanting to be near the Keeper when she was mad.
