Bad Company: Chapter 2.
***The corridor***
Rommie walked towards Trance and Beka
"You need to be on the Command Deck in ten minutes. Is something wrong Trance?"
"It's nothing, we'll be there soon. Thanks Rommie." Beka replied quickly.
Rommie didn't know what was going on and she walked away.
*** Harper's Room***
Harper was watching the statue when he heard Rommie's voice over the comms.
"Harper, be on the command deck in ten minutes"
"Understood"
Harper stood up and walked towards the door. But he forgot about his medication.
"Ow, this headache. I hate it!"
He walked back in for his medicine but suddenly everything changed. It felt like his head was exploding with the pain. He fell on his
knees, he felt so weak and so ill. The statue fell to the ground and it smashed into million pieces.....
***The corridor***
Trance and Beka were standing in the corridor when they heard the noise.
"Harper!" They shouted together.
"I knew, I knew, I felt this coming!
"Calm down Trance, everything will be alright!" Beka was trying to calm herself too.
She entered the door code but nothing happened.
"Privacy mode! Great! Trance?"
"I don't know the code...
"Rommie!"
"Yes, Beka?"
"Please, open the door!"
The hologram just looked at her.
"Rommie we haven't time to go through this procedure! Open the door!
The door opened with a whoosh and Beka and Trance ran into the room.
***In Harper's room***
Harper lay on the ground and he was shivering with a fever.
"I'm sorry Trance.... really. You... you were right." Harper's eyes filled with tears. His gaze was darting round the room like he didn't know where he was.
"It doesn't matter, I'm so, so sorry!
Trance walked over to Harper and knelt down beside him. Finally they hugged.
"Are you still here, Dylan is waiting for you......" Tyr stepped into the room.
Everyone jumped with surprise at his sudden entrance.
"Give us five minutes and we'll be there....." Beka replied
Tyr looked at Harper then he looked at Beka. Beka understood his expression and followed him out into the corridor.
***The corridor***
"What's wrong with Harper?"
"Nothing important, he had an argument with Trance. Why?"
"Is he sick? Is it the magog larvae?"
"No. I hope he's okay. But why?! You didn't answer my question."
Beka was worried about Harper.
"Something is wrong with him. His pulse was high and he was pale...." Tyr suddenly turned his head towards Harper's room.
"What's wrong Tyr? Has something happened?" Beka asked, worriedly.
The Nietzschean didn't answer.
"Tyr! I asked you a question!" Beka was angry.
Tyr closed his eyes and nodded sadly. Beka suddenly understood the situation.
"Oh, damn. Harper!" shouted Beka and ran towards the room.
***Harper's room(during that time)***
Harper still sat on the floor with Trance. The girl hugged his shoulder again and started crying.
"I can't do this.... I'm so tired of this whole fight for nothing! This is a never-ending fight.... you know this. And you knew all this at the beginning"
"Yes. I know.... I knew"
"I'm in pain Trance. I'm in pain and my head hurts. But I don't know why! I hate this!" screamed a sobbing Harper.
"I hate this whole thing"
"Calm down Harper! Don't worry! I.... we will help you now and we will help you forever! I promise you that! Do you understand? You won't be alone! Never..."
"Thanks."
Suddenly Harper grabbed his stomach and lay back down on the floor.
"Oh, my dears..." said Harper sarcastically and painfully and he took his medicine.
After a few minutes Harper stood up with the help of Trance.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine" said Harper and he grabbed his jacket.
"I'm okay." He said to himself, speaking ironically.
But the truth was that Harper felt bad.
"After you." said Harper politely.
Trance looked at him suspiciously. She was worried about him.
"I worry about him too much" she said to calm herself and stepped outside the room trying to look cheerful.
"Oh no! Not again!" said Harper painfully as he grabbed his head.
When Trance turned back to him, he collapsed in her arms. He was unconscious.
Harper was pale and sweaty. He really didn't look well.
"Harper, wake up! Can you hear me?" Trance was shaking him but he didn't regain consciousness.
"Andromeda!" shouted Trance as Beka ran into the room.
"What happened to him Trance?" Beka asked when she saw him.
Trance looked sad and confused.
