Warp Core Savior

Timeline: Set right after Deadlock. When the Bridge is in Engineering.

"The core is going to briech!" B'Elanna shouted
"Tuvok, evacuate every one but Senior Staff from the Engineering deck!"
Tuvok did as he was told and came back with haste.
*30 seconds until core briech*
"Captain, B'Elanna we have to get out of here!" Shouted Tom over the noise.
"The rest of you go I'll try to stop it!" Janeway said
"No, if you stay I stay!" Chakotay spoke up.
"Captain, I think I can do it." B'Elanna started
"Go, all of you!" She ordered, stressing all.
"You heard her! Go!" Chakotay mimnked
"Go to the Holodeck. Just in case I can't stop it you will be safe there!"
"Captain."
"GO!!" She commanded, cutting Harry off.
All of the crew on the Engineering deck were know in the Holodecks, worrying about there captain.
Janeway turned to go to the lift when she saw him, "Chakotay, I told you to go with them."
"Not without you, Kathryn."
Her breath caught in her throat at the tone in his voice, but she quickly recovered by, *10 seconds until core briech*
"Kathryn, we have to get out of here."
"One second, I've almost got it." She said, her fingers dancing on the console, on the second level of Engineering. "There!!" She said, leaning on the railing, right above Chakotay.
"Janeway to B'Elanna, I got it!"
"On my way! Torres out!"
"Congratulations, you saved the day with 3 seconds to spare." He said, looking at the console.
Janeway tried to see the console that said the time but she lost her footing and hand hold on the railing and slipped. Luckily, he was there.
"Hello"
"Hi." She said heat creeping onto her face. It wasn't only the fact that she shouldn't have fell, but that she was in the arms of her gorgeous First Officer. With the complication of their feeling towards each other.
"Look, they will be here any min." She started
Knowing where she was headed he stopped her from finishing with a soft, tender kiss, which soon deepened. And to his surprise, by her.
He let her feet touch the ground again. Her arms linked at the nape of his neck and her fingers were playing with his hair. His hands were roaming her back as they deepened the kiss. Their first kiss was filled with regret of the years they spent hiding their feelings.

Tom and B'Elanna strolled into Engineering singing a song that was playing in the holodeck. The words caught in their mouths at what they saw.
Their Commanding Officers lost in passionate kiss, by the glow of the warp core.
"Romantic, isn't?" B'Elanna questioned, interrupting the kiss.
"Oh, hi Tom, B'Elanna!" Janeway said without taking her eyes from Chakotay's.
"Yes, very, romantic!" Chakotay agreed, staring into Kathryn's blue pools.
"Especially when you fall into the arms of the man of your dreams!" She confessed, now gazing into Chakotay's deepened brown depths, "Now, shall we work on getting the core back to its norm. All I did was stop it from brieching."
"Yeah,. but that didn't look like the only thing you were doing!" B'Elanna said winking at them.
"You, know, you are one heck of a kisser!"
"Captain?" Chakotay asked, surprise evident in his voice.
Tom and B'Elanna were all ears waiting to see if she had really said that.
"I said,.." She paused for affect, "'you are one heck of a kisser'!"
"Yeah,. that's what I thought you said, and. ah. thanks!" He smiled that dimpled smile that made her melt.
'I'm going to have some weird dreams tonight' Kathryn and Chakotay thought in unison.
