Title: The Best Part of Hot Chocolate
Rating: Eh, PG-ish
Synopsis: Mmm…hot chocolate. Both David and Jack like it. (Me too)
Category: Slash, established relationship, pure fluff
Warnings: Horribly obvious pick-up lines. There's Jack for ya.
Feedback: Love it. Archiving: Sure, just ask.
Disclaimer: Characters not mine.
Note: Just something I whipped up to help beat my horrible case of writer's block. Hope it works.
I love picking an object and writing a story around it, and hot chocolate just happened to be what my eyes fell on. Plus, I realized that not one of my stories went beyond hinting around at things like kissing. Couldn't have that.

Jack made a strangled noise.
"Hmm?" David asked absently. He wrapped his hands more tightly around the mug, feeling the tingling in the tips of his fingers as the chill went away. It was cold outside, but the cocoa was so warm. He breathed in deeply, letting the rich scent fill his senses, then breathed out happily.
"You like hot chocolate, do you?"
"Oh, yeah."
He loved it.
"Me too," Jack whispered. There was a soft rustle as he moved closer. "I like it a whole lot." His voice quiet and breathless.
David looked up, surprised at the intensity behind the words. His eyes met Jack's and he felt his heartbeat quicken. Forget cocoa; nothing was as warm as the look in Jack's eyes, the tender expression on his face, as he reached out and took the cup from David. Jack's fingers traced burning tracks on his cheek.
Forget breathing, too.
Then, suddenly, they were kissing. It was sweet and intense; the way they both liked it best. Jack cradled David's face between his hands, tongue swiping once, twice, at his lips. David shivered at the feeling.
A breathless minute later they pulled apart. David blinked rapidly and smiled at the now grinning Jack. "What--what was that for?"
Jack's eyes sparkled innocently. "You had chocolate on your lips."
David stared a long moment, then burst into laughter. Soft, warm laughs from Jack echoed his. Gasping for breath, he looked pointedly at Jack.
"Remind me to drink hot chocolate more often."
