Your Son

I struggle forward and past the truth,
You drag me, back into youth.
My morale is gone and I am no more,
You keep reopening that forgotten door.
Fear and death I hath overcame,
But you constantly remind me of the pain.
In time all have forgiven me,
But you wont let those memories flee.
You bring them here and before my eyes,
The torture I feel never dies.
I beg you please let me move on,
Let me see the light of a whole new dawn.
Say its ok and all is fine,
I honestly accept that the blame is mine.
Getting down upon my knees,
I look into your soul and beg you please.
Forget that everything is bad,
Remember the joyful times we had.
And when you have pushed it all away,
Started life with a new a day.
Only then will I fear no more,
I will begin to live life as I did before.
But till that day that you move on,
I just remain your conniving son.
