This fic takes place when Keladry has just past her ordeal of knighthood! A few days after her ordeal a surprise arrives for her.

It was just pasted dawn and Keladry and Neal sat in the stables talking about what they planned to do now that they both were knights. Many idea's popped in their heads but Kel knew one thing that she wanted more than anything before she left on her quest as a knight. To see Cleon. She told this to Neal. Neal replied by promising Kel that he would try see if they could be posted in a position near Cleon. This gesture of Neal's made Kel feel excited and extremely anxious. A though kept popping into her head, " What would we do when we see each other?" This thought made Kel smile.
Moments later a tall, handsome figure walked into the stable dressed in a tunic, breeches and boots. As soon as Kel saw his face she realised that it was her darling sweetheart Cleon. Cleon then said, "I knew I would find you two here." And with that Kel got up and threw her arms around him. She had missed him dearly, especially in the past week. Kel told Cleon, "I've missed you so much, I love you!" Cleon then replied by saying, " I love you too, my pearl." Neal who thought he had seen enough walked back to the palace in search of his own sweetheart.
Minutes pasted and Kel was unable to let go of Cleon, in fact she never wanted to let him go. Cleon kissed her gently, and she replied. Kel loved the way that Cleon looked at her. It made her feel special and very happy. Soon Cleon said, " Today my love, I have a very special surprise for you. I am gong to take you a special place of mine where we can have a picnic." Kel thought that this was a wonderful idea, but then she remembered, " King Jonathan will never approve, he won't let us go." Disappoint drained from her eyes. However Cleon knew an answer to this, "I have already spoken to King Jonathan and he has agreed to give us both the entire day off so we may spend time together." Keladry knew from that point on how much she really loved him. To her Cleon was her world, without him she surely wouldn't be able to survive.
When Cleon and Kel finished cuddling and kissing each other they made their way up into the palace. Cleon had already organised their lunch and all the requirements need for their picnic. Kel decided that she would change into a dress for Cleon. She had not done this in a very long time, wearing a dress that was. As she looked into her chest she picked out a lilac and gold gown. She knew the gown may get ruined but she wanted to wear it anyway. She then pinned her hair up. When she finished getting ready she took a look at herself in the mirror. From her reflection she thought that she looked beautiful. She only thought to herself, "I hope Cleon likes it as much as I do." And for the second time in that day she made herself smile, she then thought, "I really ought to stop thinking like this."
Minutes later Cleon arrived back into her room, "You look absolutely beautiful my pearl," he said. This made Kel smile. She loved the flattering comments that Cleon gave her. She them walked over to him and kissed him again. It didn't even bother her that all the servants were watching them. She new that today would be day to remember.
It was just before midday that they left the palace to go to this mystery place that Cleon had chose for them to have their picnic.
