The moon it rises to its highest pinnacle No light it shines tonight The forest whispers silently Soft cries of fear and loneliness Shattering the calmness of the night What creature is this That cry out
Inuyasha hiding changed upon a limb Ebony locks floating on the wind His senses may be dull But his sense of loneliness is heightened Where is his raven haired woman To comfort take away the pains Though he may fight with her his heart remains the same
Kagome the girl from the future With her cups of Roman Is making her way as quick as she can Back into the well and back to him She knows he's near and looks up to him Her eyes watered at his silent tears Though her heart knows the truth
Inuyasha he falls from his perch To land by her side a cry escaping his lips So she enfolds him within her embrace Whispering that everything's okay Together they fall against the base of the tree His venerability visible for all to see And her love sewing up old wounds
No words are need to tell their love They both know the truth now But in the morning their old faces they'll have But with each name he calls her And with her every sit They'll both know the truth From that moonless night
