Judgement
Well minna, here we go again . . . *sigh* I am _terrible_ at posting stuff or continuing stories I've already put up . . . but I think I'm gonna stick with this one awhile. I recently read the _awesome_ (albeit rather disturbing) first volume of Parasytes, and thought of making a crossover fic, but also was doodling in class and came up with a new character for a fic, and it all somehow . . . _connected_. So, I know I have a million stories to update, but I _had_ to get something up for this one . . . but Christmas break is coming up soon, anyway, and I'll probably get the chance to update more. So arigato for your patience!
"I am now a head of lettuce!" --"I am no longer a head of lettuce!"-Doctor from Courage the Cowardly Dog
AN: Based off the manga. The girls are in their senior year of high school and Darien is in the US at Harvard because I didn't want to deal with him in these first few chappies *halo*. Haruka and Michiru have gotten . . . promised to each other and are on a vacation. Hotaru is in ninth grade.
Galaxies collide, stars die, souls begin life anew. But no matter what In any time or place I will never stop loving you.
Part one: Invasion
They float down from the sky like an innocent shower of swollen dandelion puffs, pale against the darkened sky, glistening green in the light of several street lamps.
The breeze plays with them, causing them to dance as they descend spinning in intricate loops and soft, intricate patterns. Material objects prove no barriers for them; they pass through steel light poles like a ghost through a wall.
They make no sound . . . after all, what noise is expected from an undercover, secret operation? An _invasion_?
They pass through the windows in innocents' bedrooms, landing softly on the floor, perhaps a carpeted one, maybe a wooden one. A shimmer, and they lengthen into something as eerily beautiful, but far, far more deadly. Its daggerlike head glistens in the protective silver moonlight as they make their way to an innocent, unsuspecting ear, quivering as though following a scent. Then it burrows . . .
Perhaps a quick intake of air, maybe a strangled gasp of pain, quickly silenced as it finishes its work . . .
There is nothing you can do. Even if you know, there is nothing to prevent it . . . unless you're lucky. So far, only three have been as lucky . . .
So before you go to bed tonight, pray. Pray for redemption of your soul, of the souls of those near to you, and for that of the entire world . . . and when you wake up, be wary of those you love . . .
For _they_ are among us.
End Part One.
Ooh, creepy. I enjoyed writing that, even tho it was short . . . if you don't know what this chapter refers to, read Volume One of Parasytes. However, if there's an overwhelming request for information on the series, I will post what little I know.
Look for _Part Two: Waking Dreams: Rei's Visions_
Merry Christmas, everyone! And HALLELUJAH, HOLIDAY BREAK!
