Cheese, how's long has it been?

Author's Apology

I think it needs to be said. I'm so sorry about the letdown that Perrin and the Three Whitecloaks has been. I thought for sure that I'd have enough steam left over from Rand and the Three Grey Men. I burned myself out, and to top it off, my interest wavered when they pushed back the tenth book. I am sorry. It might be a fanfiction, but I said I was going to do it, you might have hated R&tTGM, you might have hated P&tTW, but hey.it kept me amused. So I'm gonna stop talking now.err.typing.

'kay. Challenges amuse me. Hence, the writing of this. Don't expect much, I'm out of practice and far down the literary ladder. Here ya go Cel! Have fun!

It started as the most typical day in Two Rivers. The sun came up, the town stirred. Faile began terrorizing anyone within ten feet, usually the Three Grey Men, who continuously bumbled into her path. Perrin got up, got dressed, and settled into his Lazy-Boy, turned on the Playstation and got down to business.

The Wheel turning or not, he had a Virage to beat. (Yes, he's still playing Legend of Dragoon.)

The art of immersing oneself into the game was a art unto itself, block out all distractions, center your attention on the game, (playing video games improves hand-eye coordination, tell that to you parents when they tell you that they're rotting your brain) become ONE with the game.

All things became one big nothing, a hum in the background, until-

"PERRIN!"

Perrin threw himself backwards, tipping the Lazy-Boy. "Ghaa! Don't eat me!"

"Idiot man! I asked if you had taken out the trash?" Faile stood there, tapping a spoon against her leg.

Perrin grinned weakly. "Uhh.no."

"All you ever do anymore is play that stupid game! You've forgotten about everything! Mat was here for an day last week and you didn't even blink at him!"

"Mat was here?"

Faile growled. Fastwind hid behind the fallen Lazy-Boy and whimpered.

"Perrin! That's it! Me or the game!"

Perrin looked at the Playstation, then to Faile, then back at the game.

And that was how he found himself in a washed out tavern in who-knows- where drinking cheap beer. If he could perhaps find Rand and con him into talking to Faile.naaa, Rand was a wuss when it came to women.

Mat?

Nope.

He sighed and took another drink. Blag. Did she really mean it when she said 'divorce'?

Sighed again. Lan?

Definitely not.

Had another drink. Aram?

Not in hell.

So lost in his sorrows, he didn't notice a slinky figure.well..slinking up next to him.

"Well, pleasure seeing you here."

Perrin glanced up, gaped in shock. "Berelain?"

^_^

End chappie one! Sooo..THEY TOOK THE DRINKING GAME DOWN! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?

Sorry. Anyway, ohhh..will Perrin go with Berelain? Will Faile forgive her husband for playing too many video games? Will Demandred return to claim his Lazy- Boy? And thanks for the idea about Demandred and the Lazy-Boy, Dark Wanderer! Ze Pop owes ya for that! Hopes you like Celeste!
