THE WORLD I MUST LIVE IN

Keeping all my memories.

Held up tight inside.

Reminding myself of all the fears.

And the reasons why I died.

I will never be whom I want.

My chances have slowly passed.

So please humor me in this life.

I never wanted to come back.

I see the horrors in this world.

But I still hold my head up high.

Yet all the people who live today.

Never have they realized how close they could have came.

They thrive off the truth of happiness.

In there never ending game.

Together in the shadows.

Waiting for what they don't want to see.

Destruction of the things that go bump in the night.

The things I don't want to be.

I was chosen to be something else.

Keeping the secret.

Not knowing it was a lie.

But not living to tell them it's false.

While all the other watchers wait till everyone dies.

So hear me as I state this fact.

I am forever cursed to protect this world.

But to never feel anything inside.

Cursed to live in the darkness,

And follow the rules I must abide.
