Eva in troubles
Lydecker yelled the numbers, they did the moves. They all were still a bit tired from the exercises they did yesterday in the woods, but they weren't allowed to show it so they didn't.
For the first fight Eva was paired up with Jondy. It went quite well, they were from the same age and had the same height. After ten minutes they rotated clockwise this time Eva was paired up with Jack.
Eva could see it in Jack's eyes that he was too tired to fight, probably even to tired to make a move. She felt guilty but she had no choice did she?
"Are you OK Jack?"
"Don't use the names in here 766, and yeah I'm fine"
"You don't look fine are you tired?"
Lydecker gave the signal to begin, but Eva stood still didn't make a move.
"Why don't you fight with me 766, I'm OK"
"Look at you 417 you aren't capable to fight that wouldn't be honest towards you. You wouldn't make a chance to me"
"Being honest is not important, don't worry so much, I already lost every fight today so this wouldn't matter"
"this does matters to me 417, I'm not fighting you!"
Jack saw that Lydecker was coming and said "Please 766 he's coming start to fight you aren't helping me!"
"I'm not fighting, so shut up" Eva said truly angry this time.
"Is there a problem soldiers?"
"Actually yes sir there is"
Lydecker frowned and said
"Why aren't you two fighting?"
"Sir, my advantage over 417 is too big, it wouldn't be honest to fight him now"
"766 if I tell you to fight than you better fight understood?"
Lydecker was really angry. The X5's could see it about the way he looked.
"NO"
The word hung in the air. No one ever said no to Lydecker. Lydecker was shocked but did not show it. The X5's were trying not to smile, but for some of them it was really difficult. Zack looked worried, he knew that this would turn out in chaos and if there was something he hated it was chaos.
"X5's in line" Lydecker yelled
"When I tell you to fight, sleep, jump or even to drop dead what do you do than? 766 an explanation wouldn't be unnecessary.
"Fight, sleep, jump or drop dead sir"
"So why is this so hard for you to do?"
"My ad."
"Advantage is irrelevant, when I tell you to do something you better do it"
"X5's dismissed"
Back in the barracks they took a shower and changed clothes
"Next time Lydecker tells you to fight you do that."
"No I won't Zack, it wasn't right to fight Jack"
"Nothing is right in here Eva, do you think it is right if we all get punished tomorrow? And you didn't helped Jack, Eva you really didn't. The only thing you did was showing Lydecker that Jack was weak. So next time you just fight"
And Zack walked away leaving Eva with the question if she did more damage than good. Anyway she was sure there would be some kind of a punishment tomorrow.
