A/N:This is my first shot at poetry. There are several stories in the book where
certain characters express a certain love for another and their utmost devotion to
that other person. In this poem, I've highlighted three seperate events that particuarly
touched me. See if you can guess which parts they are!^_^


P..S: About some of the sentence structure: I realize that certain lines sound a bit
backwards, but that's just how I wanted this poem to sound. It sounded odd using
correct english format, if that makes any sense....And spelling.....acurssed laptop
doesn't have spell check....had to check it myself....so if there are any errors, I'd appreciate
someone letting me know.






The Reason Why

Dark is the blackness of this night
Yet bright is the light when you are near
Lonely is the journey I must take
But unafraid I am if I've your memory

I feel that I should laugh
If only for your amusement
I feel I should weep
If only for your tears
I feel I should carry on
If only for your children
I feel I should live
If only for your life

If I should die alone I should be frightened
Yet if I have you near me I'll be fine
If I should live to see tomorrow
It would not be life if you didn't also

I feel I should be brave
If only for your comfort
I feel that I should lie
If only to protect you
I feel that I should fall
If only so you can stand up
I feel that I should live
If only for your life

Long is the journey I must take
If only to face the end with you
Hope is the virtue I must keep
If only to keep you going

I feel I must go on
If only in your name
I feel should be strong
If only to help you go on
I feel I should keep smiling
If only to help you keep hope
I feel that I should live
If only for your life
