"Wake up to the world, Shadow! Things are not always your way! Eggman did not explain life to you! It wasn't your way when you nearly died, it isn't your way ever either! You just have to let things go!"
A breath of relief passed through Shadow's lips that he had not died in the ARK accident, and that Sonic and Amy had found him in the middle of the desert. He was burning out there, hanging on by a thread. There was blood pouring from his mouth, and from wounds all over his body. Amy looked away in disgust, Sonic later said. But she agreed to get Shadow to Tails right away. Tails healed him with a few robots. Shadow had been on Sonic's side ever since.

Sonic finally reached his bedroom, where Amy opened the door.
"Oh, hi Amy. Let me guess. the whole bedroom and housing complex set aside in this colony is clean, right?" Sonic said, a strange gleam in his eye.
Amy slowly nodded, turning around and walking away. "By the way, dinner is almost ready. Hope you're hungry from your training!" Amy shouted, not even turning.
